  Life82.任何人之所以避各种偷盗如罪到何等程度,就在何等程度上热爱诚实,是因为偷盗也是欺诈,欺诈和诚实是两种对立的事物。这意味着任何人不去偷盗到何等程度,就在何等程度上处于诚实。

Life (Dole translation 2014) 82

82. The reason we love honesty to the extent that we turn our backs on theft as a sin is that theft is also deception, and deception and honesty are two opposite things. This means that to the extent that we are not devoted to deception, we are devoted to honesty.

Doctrine of Life (Rogers translation 2014) 82

82. We say that insofar as someone refrains from stealing as being a sin, so far he loves honesty, because stealing is also fraud, and fraud and honesty are two opposites. Consequently, insofar as someone does not engage in fraud, so far he deals honestly.
