285. Everyone in the church who receives light from heaven sees divinity in the Lord, but people who do not receive light from heaven see only humanness in the Lord. Yet the divinity and the humanity in him are so united that they are one, as he also tells us in another place in John:
Father, all that is mine is yours, and all that is yours is mine. (John 17:10)
285. All Christians who have light from heaven see the divine in the Lord. If we do not have light from heaven, we only see the human side of the Lord. Yet, the divine and the human are united so that they are one person. The Lord teaches this in another place in John: “Father, everything that is mine is yours, and everything that is yours is mine” (John 17:10).
285. All who belong to the church and enjoy enlightenment from heaven see the divinity in the Lord. But those who are not so enlightened can only see the humanity in the Lord. Yet the divinity and the humanity are so united in Him as to be one. This was the Lord's teaching also elsewhere in John:
Father, all that is mine is yours, and all that is yours is mine. John 17:10.
285. All who are of the Church, and who are in light from heaven, see the Divine in the Lord; but those who are not in light from heaven see nothing but the Human in the Lord; when yet the Divine and the Human have become so united in Him, that they are one; as the Lord also taught elsewhere, in John 17:10, "Father, all Mine are Thine, and all Thine are Mine."
285. All they who are of the church, and in light from heaven, see the Divine in the Lord; but they who are not in light from heaven, see nothing but the Human in the Lord; when yet the Divine and the Human are in Him so united, that they are one; as the Lord also taught in another place in John:
Father, all Mine are Thine, and all Thine Mine (17:10).
