Spirits of the liver do likewise with moral qualities, separating those which are essentially honorable and dishonorable; the pancreas, qualities of propriety-thus the formalities of honorableness-[from the improper]. 1748, 25 February. Whether the pancreas does the same as to forensic and civil matters, abstractedly from what is becoming, I do not as yet know.
