They remain in this state after death for a shorter or longer time, depending on the character of their life, before they are left by the heavenly [angels] and come among spirits, that is, are taken into the company of spiritual [angels]. When brought into their company, they live exactly as they had lived in the body, not knowing otherwise than that they are living in the world.

When they are associated with these latter, they live altogether as they had lived in the body, and know no otherwise than that they are living in the world.
1103. In hoc statu manent post mortem minus magisque secundum statum eorum vitae, antequam relinquuntur a coelestibus, et inter spiritus veniunt, seu spiritualibus adsociantur, dum iis adsociantur, tunc vivunt prorsus ut in corpore, nec aliter sciunt, quam quod vivant in mundo.
