Spiritual Experiences (Odhner and Nemitz translation 1998) 1404

1404. I was told what these things symbolize, namely, that those who will think themselves stationed in the greatest light, because they are learned, will be in the thickest darkness, while those round about who are not so self-confident, will be in extreme clarity. For in the darkness were those whom the world believed were in the greatest light. 1748, 15 March.

Spiritual Experiences (Buss translation 1902) 1404

1404. These things signify, as I was told, that those who suppose that they are established in the clearest light, because they are learned, will be in the grossest darkness; whereas those who are round about, that is, those who do not thus trust in themselves, will be in the greatest clearness. Those who were in darkness were they whom the world had believed to be in the greatest light. 1748, Mar. 15.

Experientiae Spirituales 1404 (original Latin 1748-1764)

1748, 15 Martius.
