1488. About the punishment of those who enjoy revenge
There are some who take such pleasure in revenge that, as they themselves describe it, nothing is more delicious than to take revenge, to be gripped by a passion for vengeance. They even call it "delights," and hardly want to express it by any other term.
1488. CONCERNING THE PUNISHMENT OF THOSE WHO ARE DELIGHTED WITH REVENGE
There are some who are delighted with revenge; as they describe it, there is nothing more delightful than to take revenge, and to be held in the cupidity of revenge, indeed, they call it "delights" so that they are scarcely willing to express it by any other name.
1488. De punitione eorum, qui delectantur vindictis
Sunt quidam, qui ita delectantur vindictis, ut describant ii, quod nihil delitiosius sit, quam vindicare, ac teneri in vindictae cupiditate, imo vocant hoc delitias, sic us alio nomine ea vic exprimere velint.
