Spiritual Experiences (Odhner and Nemitz translation 1998) 1589

1589. One who is led by the Lord is blameless

Even though human beings are filthy, and contaminated by foulness, nevertheless, when led by the Lord they are blameless because whatever truth and good they think, speak, or do, is the Lord's, and whatever falsity and evil, the devil's. For when led by the Lord, they know they do nothing on their own power. 1748, 20 March.

Spiritual Experiences (Buss translation 1902) 1589

1589. HE THAT IS LED BY THE LORD IS BLAMELESS.

(A man although foul and polluted with defilements, yet while led by the Lord is exempt from blame; for whatever of truth and good he thinks, speaks, and acts is of the Lord, and whatever of false and evil of the devil, for man then knows that he does nothing of himself. - 1745, March 20.

Experientiae Spirituales 1589 (original Latin 1748-1764)

1748, 20 Martius.
