1811. About these I am able to tell that they obsess the mind as if their thought were the inward thought of the person, and therefore that the person can never tell, without the Lord's mercy, that those spirits are there and are ruling him. So secretly do they operate.
1811. Concerning these I can say they brood over the mind, as if their thought was the interior thought of the man, so that the man, without the special mercy of the Lord, can by no means be aware that such spirits are present and controlling him, so covertly do they act.
1811. De iis id dicere possum, quod animo insideant, tanquam eorum cogitatio foret interior hominis, sic ut homo nequaquam, absque Domini misericordia, scire possit, quod tales spiritus adsint, et regant, ita enim clandestine agunt.
