2693. Before these things had appeared, a little earlier I saw a man opposite the left eye at some distance, but farther to the left than the eye. The man was going up suddenly as if onto a kind of plane, with torn clothing, and he was ugly, hurrying toward me; what else, I do not remember.
2693. Before these things appeared there was seen by me, a little previous, a man against the left eye at a certain distance, but more to the left, than the eye. The man was ascending [ascended] suddenly as it were to a certain plane: his garments were rent [and he] was unsightly: he hastened to me. I do not remember what [there was] besides.
2693. Antequam haec apparuerunt, paulo prius mihi visus est vir adversus oculum sinistrum ad quandam distantiam, sed magis versus sinistrum, quam oculus; vir erat ascendens subito quasi in planum quoddam, vestibus laceris, et deformis, ad me festinans; quid praeterea, non memini.
