I realized that those gifts are sent down from the very inward heaven to the angels of the inward heaven and that such are the symbolic portrayals in heaven that convey understanding, for there is nothing at all in that kind of heavenly bundle that does not mean something. So they grasp simultaneously, as when something is pictured before the eyes, what [all the parts] symbolize, thus innumerable things at one glance that can never be expressed in words. 1748, 14 Aug.
