2958. Sometimes open communication with the world of inward spirits, thus with the angelic heaven, is closed off
On one occasion, the heaven of inward spirits, consequently the inward angelic heaven, was unexpectedly closed. This was so clearly seen that nothing could have been clearer; which matter has perhaps been spoken of before [2157; cf. 697-706]. Today also it was closed, as was likewise plainly felt. Thus whenever it so pleases the Lord, it is closed, for many reasons. 1748, 27 Aug.
2958. THAT SOMETIMES MANIFEST COMMUNICATION WITH THE WORLD OF INTERIOR SPIRITS, CONSEQUENTLY WITH THE ANGELIC HEAVEN, IS CLOSED.
Once upon a time, the heaven of interior spirits, therefore the interior angelic [heaven] also, was suddenly closed. This was so plainly perceived, that nothing could be more manifest. I have, perhaps, spoken of this thing, previously. Today, also, they were closed, with manifest perception [sensu] also. Thus, as often as it pleases the Lord, they are closed, for many reasons. - 1748, August 27.
