3349. About an aura
Angels are not aware that they are in an aura of perception of faith, unless it is granted them by the Lord to realize it; but then they still clearly perceive discordances among others. That they are unaware of it because they are in it, can be made clear from the aura of an odor [see 3333 ff.]-that gardeners do not smell the aura of fragrance of the flowers, as those do who are coming into it. And neither do pharmacists smell the aromatic aura of odors, as those do who enter it. Neither do shoemakers smell the aura in which they are, as those who enter it; and so on. 1748, 26 Sept.
3349. CONCERNING SPHERES.
Angels are not aware that they are in the sphere of perception of faith, unless the Lord grants them to perceive it. But yet they plainly perceive disagreements amongst others. That they are not aware [thereof] because they are in it, may also be evident from the sphere of odor; that gardeners do not perceive the sphere of odor of flowers, like those who come thither; nor do apothecaries thus perceive the aromatic sphere of odors, as they [do] who enter; nor shoemakers the sphere in which they are, like those who enter and so forth. - 1748, September 26.
1748, 26 Sept.
