It was further proven that they come down into symbolic portrayals of pleasure gardens, vineyards, banquets, entirely in keeping with the customs of the people - for these differ from one people to another. Therefore the Lord spoke almost everything in parables, according to the character of those in the world. He compared heaven to a feast, because they considered heavenly joy to consist in feasting.
