Spiritual Experiences (Odhner and Nemitz translation 1998) 3678

3678. Some also make it a custom in the event of all the evils and common misfortunes that come upon others to resort to prayers. These are in front a little to the right, and as soon as they see anything bad they at once take recourse in a supplication - a kind of praying that wearied me, for they were imagining that it must bring help, when no help would come of it. 1748, 24 Oct.

Spiritual Experiences (Buss translation 1902) 3678

3678. Certain persons are accustomed in all evils and common misfortunes, and on other occasions, to have recourse to prayers. Such are in front, a little to the right. Whenever they see any evil impending, they immediately betake themselves to a species of supplication which wearied me, for they supposed that thence assistance would be afforded them; but no assistance [is realized] from this source. - 1743, October 24.

Experientiae Spirituales 3678 (original Latin 1748-1764)

1748, 24 Oct.
