Spiritual Experiences (Odhner and Nemitz translation 1998) 4241

4241. All good, and thence truth, is from the Lord Alone

I realized clearly that all good is from the Lord Alone. Nothing but instinct rules spirits, or nothing but the instinct of evil is from a spirit or an angel. But what is good is only from the Lord, so that whatever of good the angels might do, this is only from the Lord. 1749, 29 April.

Spiritual Experiences (Buss translation 1902) 4241

4241. THAT FROM THE LORD ALONE IS EVERYTHING GOOD, CONSEQUENTLY [EVERYTHING] TRUE.

It was clearly perceived that from the Lord Alone is every good; nothing but instinct governs spirits, or [in other words] there is nothing but an instinct of evil from spirit and angel [viewed in themselves]; what is good is solely from the Lord, so that whatever good the angels may do, this is solely from the Lord. - 1749, April 29.

Experientiae Spirituales 4241 (original Latin 1748-1764)

4241. Quod a Solo Domino omne bonum, inde verum

Perceptum clare quod a Solo Domino omne bonum; nihil nisi instinctus regit spiritus, seu nihil nisi instinctus mali a spiritu et angelo, at quod bonum, est unice a Domino, sic ut quicquid boni agerent angeli, hoc unice a Domino. 1749, 29 April.
