They have convictions completely foreign to them, and molded as their own, and feelings completely counterfeit and deceitful, and these qualities work together in such a way that those who do not know better can in no wise tell them from genuine ones. They collect them, and add to them, and they come forth together in their aura one by one, until the process is completely consummated.
4475. The things inspired by sirens are persuasions altogether artificially formed, and affections altogether simulated and deceitful, which act together so that those unaware cannot possibly view things otherwise than according to them. They collect such things and increase them, and at the same time they exist successively in their sphere, until it is completed and consummated.
