But because they are outward forms devoid of anything of an inward nature, they cease to exist in an instant and then filthy things are presented to view.
5224. The phantasies of sirens are very numerous. They induce upon themselves lovely forms and most elegant garments. They present to the view beautiful houses and many decorations in them; but, inasmuch as they are external forms without internals, they perish in a moment, and then foul things are presented to the sight.
5224. Phantasiae sirenum plures sunt, inducunt sibi formas venustas, vestes ornatissimas, sistunt domus pulchras, et ibi decoramenta plura, sed quia externae formae sunt absque internis, momento pereunt, et tunc sistuntur foeda videnda.
