They know how to get garments for themselves from mental images and affections, and how to dress themselves in those things that have the power of presenting something similar, besides many other things, for there is an abundance of such things, and the hells are full of such. But these are all delusions.
5226. Those who act by correspondences are very numerous. They know how to obtain garments by means of ideas and affections, and to clothe themselves with them, since they have the power of presenting something similar, besides unnumbered other things; for such things abound, and with such things the hells are filled. But they are all mockeries.
5226. Qui per correspondentias agunt, sunt plures, illi vestes ex ideis et affectionibus sciunt comparare, et se illis induere, quae vim habent sistendi aliquid simile, praeter innumera alia, nam talia abundant, et talibus plena sunt inferna. Sed omnia illa sunt ludibria.
