5285. Those who live in that great city and those who live outside it below the mountain in that large tract are for the most part wealthy. It is the same in the city, where no one is admitted unless they are wealthy. There are countless monasteries there; the whole city consists of them except for the [homes of] the wealthy which are between the monasteries.
5285. Those who dwell in that great city, and those who dwell without it under the mountain in that great tract, are, principally, the rich. In like manner in the city, where no one is admitted unless he is rich. The monasteries there are innumerable. The whole city consists of these - except for the rich residents amongst them.
5285. Qui in urbe illa magna et qui extra illam sub montano in tractu illo magno habitant, sunt plerique divites, similiter in urbe, quo nemo admittitur nisi dives sit, monasteria ibi innumerabilia sunt, tota urbs ex illis constat, praeter divites inter illos.
