Those who relate to the nails of the feet and the fingers are the most malicious of all. They care the least and scarcely anything at all for those things that pertain to heaven and the Church. Their maliciousness surpasses the maliciousness of all others; but at length they become the most stupid of all. Such was Cartouche. 1
