855. On the other side of the bridge mentioned above, there appeared the kind of glow that shines out in the sky from a huge fire, at no great distance from the other end of the bridge; and there, it was said, was Gehenna.
855. On the other side of the bridge mentioned above [n. 853 was seen something fiery, like that which glows in the sky from a great conflagration. Its distance from the other side of the bridge was not great. It was said that Gehenna is there.
855. Ab altera parte pontis memorati [853] apparebat tale igneum, quale elucet ab incendio magno, in aere 1
