523、主行事从不违背秩序,因为祂自己就是秩序。从主发出的神性真理构成秩序,是秩序的律法。主依据这些法则引导人。因此,以即时的怜悯来拯救人违背神性秩序,而违背神性秩序就是违背神性。神性秩序是人里面的天堂,人因着违背秩序法则(即神性真理)的生活而扭曲了神性秩序。主出于纯粹的怜悯、通过秩序的法则将人带回这秩序中。只要人被带回这秩序中,他就在自己里面接受了天堂,凡自己里面接受了天堂的人都能进入天堂。这再次清楚地表明,主的神性怜悯的确是纯粹的怜悯,但并不是即时的怜悯。{注1}

{注1}:从主发出的神性真理是秩序的源头,神性良善是秩序的本质(1728225887008988)。因此,主就是秩序(19192011511057031033610619)。神性真理就是秩序的法则(24477995)。整个天堂是由主按照祂的神性秩序排列的(3038721191289338101251015110157)。因此,天堂的形式是符合神性秩序的形式(4040-404366079877)。人在什么程度上照秩序生活,也就是说,照神性真理活在良善中,就在什么程度上将天堂接入自己里面(4839)。人是一切神性秩序的事物聚集在一起的存有,并因着创造而成为形式上的神性秩序,因为他是接受神性秩序的器皿(3628421942204223452345245214601360576605662697061015610472)。人不是生在良善和真理中,而是生在邪恶和伪谬中,因而不是生在神性秩序中,而是生在秩序的反面中,因着这个原因,他生在纯粹的无知中。所以,他有必要重新出生,也就是重生,主通过神性真理实现人的重生,好将他带回秩序中(10472307230835188480855010283102841028610731)。当主重新造就人,也就是使他重生时,祂排列人里面的一切事物与秩序和谐一致,也就是成为天堂的形式 (57006690993110303)。邪恶和伪谬违背秩序。然而,主掌管那些沉迷其中的人,并非按照秩序,而是出于秩序 (4839787710777)。对活在邪恶中的人来说,单凭怜悯是不可能得救的,因为这违背神性秩序(8700)。

523. The Lord never does anything contrary to his design because he himself is the design. The divine truth that emanates from him is what establishes the design, and divine truths are the laws of the design by which the Lord is leading us. Saving people by unmediated mercy is contrary to the divine design, and anything contrary to the divine design is contrary to the divine nature.

The divine design is heaven for us. We have distorted it by living contrary to its laws, which are divine truths. The Lord brings us back into the design out of pure mercy, through the laws of the design; and to the extent that we are brought back, we accept heaven into ourselves. Whoever accepts heaven enters heaven.

This shows again that the Lord's divine mercy is pure mercy but not unmediated. 1

When the Lord is forming us afresh or regenerating us, he arranges everything in us according to the design, or into heaven's form: 5700, 6690, 9931, 10303. Evil and false things are contrary to the design, but still people who are absorbed in them are governed by the Lord, not according to the design but from it: 4839, 7877, 10778 [10777?]. It is impossible for someone who is living in evil to be saved out of pure mercy, because this goes against the divine design: 8700.

523. The Lord never does anything contrary to order, because He Himself is Order. The Divine Truth that goes forth from the Lord is what makes order; and Divine truths are the laws of order. It is in accord with these laws that the Lord leads man. Consequently, to save man as a result of immediate mercy is contrary to Divine order, and what is contrary to Divine order is contrary to the Divine. Divine order is heaven with man. Man has perverted this in himself by a life contrary to the laws of order, which are Divine truths. Into this order man is brought back by the Lord out of pure mercy by means of the laws of order; and so far as he is brought back into this order he receives heaven in himself; and he who receives heaven in himself comes into heaven. This again makes clear that the Lord's Divine mercy is pure mercy, and not immediate mercy. 1

When the Lord forms man anew, that is, regenerates him, He arranges all things in him in harmony with order, that is, in the form of heaven (Arcana Coelestia 5700, 6690, 9931, 10303).

Evils and falsities are contrary to order; nevertheless those who are in them are ruled by the Lord not in accordance with order but from order (Arcana Coelestia 4839, 7877, 10777).

It is impossible for a man who lives in evil to be saved by mercy alone, for that would be contrary to Divine order (Arcana Coelestia 8700).
