Apocalypse Revealed (Rogers translation 2007) 613

613. Having His Father's name written on their foreheads. This symbolizes the acknowledgment out of love and faith among them of the Lord's Divinity and of His Divine humanity.

The name of the Father means the Lord in respect to the Divine called the Father from which springs all else, and at the same time in respect to His Divine humanity called the Son, since the two are one and the same person, united like a soul and body. In heaven, therefore, no other father than the Lord is meant by God the Father, and in the new heaven the Lord is also called Father.

We are told here that they had the Father's name on their foreheads because the Father also means the Divine goodness of the Lord's Divine love, which in the Gospels is everywhere meant by the Father when referred to by the Lord, while the Divine truth of His Divine wisdom is meant by the Son. When the Lord glorified His humanity, these two were united like a soul with its body and a body with its soul (see nos. 21, 170).

Because the two are one, therefore we find reference elsewhere to the name of God and of the Lamb being "on their foreheads" (Revelation 22:4). Therefore, with respect to the people who are the subject here, we are told that they had the Father's name written on their foreheads, inasmuch as the 144,000 that were sealed of the twelve tribes of Israel mean angels of the higher heavens, all of whom are prompted by the goodness of celestial love, and that is, as we said, the love meant by the Father.

That the angels who are the subject here are angels of the higher heavens may be seen in the exposition of chapter 7, especially in no. 369 there.

Having the name written on their foreheads symbolizes an acknowledgment in them out of love and faith - having it written or inscribed symbolizing an acknowledgment in them, and the forehead symbolizing love and the resulting intelligence or faith (nos. 347, 605).

[2] We say that the Divine called the Father and the Divine humanity called the Son are one like a soul and body, consequently that people must approach the Lord in His Divine humanity, and that in this way and in no other is the Divine called the Father approached; and this can be seen from so many passages in the Word that they would fill pages if we were to cite them all. We cited a number of them in The Doctrine of the New Jerusalem Regarding the Lord, nos. 29-36 38-45, and later, and by way of confirmation we will present only some of them here, as follows:

The angel said to (Mary), ."..behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Highest...."

But Mary said..., "How shall this be, since I do not know a man?"

The angel answered..., "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore... the Holy One who is to be born of you will be called the Son of God. (Luke 1:30-35)

...an angel of the Lord appeared to (Joseph) in a dream, saying, ."..do not be afraid to take to you Mary your wife, for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit...." ...and (Joseph) did not know her till she had brought forth her firstborn Son. (Matthew 1:20, 25)

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word became flesh..., and we beheld His glory, as though the glory of the only begotten of the Father... (John 1:1-2, 14)

...the Jews sought... to kill (Jesus), because He... said that God was His Father, making Himself equal to God. Jesus answered..., ."..whatever (the Father) does, the Son also does in like manner. ...as the Father raises the dead and gives them life, even so the Son gives life to whom He will. ...assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming... when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live. (John 5:18-25)

...as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself... (John 5:26)

"I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. If you had known Me, you would have known My Father also; and from now on you know Him and have seen Him."

Philip said to Him, ."..show us the Father...."

Jesus said to him, "Have I been with you so long a time, and have you not known Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how then do you say, 'Show us the Father'? Do you not believe that I dwell in the Father, and the Father in Me? ...Believe Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me...." (John 14:6-11)

"I give (My sheep) eternal life... I and My Father are one."

(Then the Jews were angered that He made Himself God. And He said, "I do the works of My Father.") ."..believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him." (John 10:28-38)

"He who sees Me sees Him who sent Me." (John 12:45)

"All things that the Father has are Mine." (John 16:15)

...that the Father had given all things into His hands... (John 13:3)

"Father..., ...You have given (Me) authority over all flesh... This is eternal life, that they may know You, the only... God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent... All that is Mine are Yours, and what are Yours are Mine...." (John 17:1-3, 10)

"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth." (Matthew 28:18)

"Whatever you ask in My name, that I will do...." (And) "I will do it." (John 14:13-14)

."..the Spirit of truth... will not speak on its own, but... will take of what is Mine and declare it to you." (John 16:13-14)

He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15:5)

[3] And so on. There are still more passages in the Old Testament, some of which we will present also:

...unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, God, Hero, Father of Eternity, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

A virgin shall conceive... a Son, and His name shall be called God-With-Us. (Isaiah 7:14)

"Behold, the days are coming... when I will raise to David a righteous offshoot, who shall reign as a King... And this is His name by which He will be called: JEHOVAH OUR RIGHTEOUSNESS." (Jeremiah 23:5-6; 33:15-16)

Then it will be said in that day: "Behold, ...our God, for whom we have waited, for Him to free us, ...Jehovah, for whom we have waited; we will rejoice and be glad in His salvation." (Isaiah 25:9)

God is in you only, and... there is no other God. Surely You are God, who hide Yourself, O God of Israel, the Savior! (Isaiah 45:14-15)

Is it not I, Jehovah? And there is no other God besides Me; a just God and a Savior, there is none besides Me. (Isaiah 45:21-22)

I... am Jehovah, and besides Me there is no savior. (Isaiah 43:11)

I am Jehovah your God... and you shall acknowledge no God but Me; and there is no Savior besides Me. (Hosea 13:4)

...You (Jehovah) are our Father..., our Redeemer from of old Your name. (Isaiah 63:16)

Thus said Jehovah, the King of Israel, and His Redeemer, Jehovah Zebaoth: "I am the First and the Last, and besides Me there is no God." (Isaiah 44:6)

Thus said Jehovah, your Redeemer...: "I am Jehovah, who makes all things, ...all alone, ...by Myself." (Isaiah 44:24)

Thus said Jehovah, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "I am Jehovah your God...." (Isaiah 48:17)

...O Jehovah, my rock, and my Redeemer! (Psalms 19:14)

Their Redeemer is strong, Jehovah Zebaoth His name. (Jeremiah 50:34)

...Jehovah Zebaoth is His name; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel; He shall be called the God of the whole earth. (Isaiah 54:5)

That all flesh may know that I, Jehovah, am your Savior and your Redeemer, the Mighty One of Jacob. (Isaiah 49:26, cf. 60:16)

As for our Redeemer, Jehovah Zebaoth is His name... (Isaiah 47:4)

Thus said Jehovah, your Redeemer... (Isaiah 43:14, cf. 49:7)

And so elsewhere, as in Luke 1:68; Isaiah 62:11-12; 63:1, 4, 9.

And in Zechariah:

In that day... Jehovah shall become King over all the earth. In that day there shall be one Jehovah, and His name one. (Zechariah 14:8-9)

These are but a few of the passages.

Apocalypse Revealed (Coulson translation 1970) 613

613. 'Having His Father's Name written upon their foreheads' signifies the acknowledgment of the Divine and of the Lord's Divine Human by virtue of the love and faith with them. By 'the Father's Name' is understood the Lord as to the Divine from Whom [all things are] which is called 'the Father,' and at the same time as to the Divine Human which is called 'the Son,' since they are one and one Person, united as soul and body. In heaven, therefore, by 'God the Father' is understood none other than the Lord; and also the Lord in the New Heaven is called 'Father.' It is here said 'the Father's Name upon their foreheads' because also by 'the Father' is understood the Divine Good of the Lord's Divine Love which in the Word of the Evangelists is everywhere understood by 'the Father' when named by the Lord, and by 'the Son' the Divine Truth of Divine Wisdom. These two were united as soul to body and body to soul when the Lord glorified His Human, as may be seen (21, 170); and because they are one it is therefore said elsewhere 'the Name of God and the Lamb upon their foreheads' (chapter 22:4). It is therefore said of those who are treated of here that they had 'the Father's Name written upon [their] foreheads,' because by the 144000 sealed out of the 12 tribes of Israel are understood the angels of the higher heavens, all of whom are in the good of celestial love, and by 'the Father,' as was said, that good is understood. That the angels of whom it treats here are the angels of the higher heavens may be seen in the Exposition of chapter 7, specifically at 363 there. By 'written upon [their] foreheads' is signified the acknowledgment by virtue of the love and faith in them, by 'written' or 'written upon' is signified the acknowledgment in them, and by 'the forehead 'is signified love and the consequent intelligence or faith (347, 605).

[2] That the Divine that is called 'Father' and the Divine Human that is called 'Son' are one like soul and body, and consequently that the Lord as to the Divine Human is to be approached, and that thus and not otherwise is the Divine that is called 'Father' approached, can be established out of so many passages in the Word that if quoted they would fill many pages. They have been adduced in ample measure in THE DOCTRINE OF THE NEW JERUSALEM CONCERNING THE LORD 29-36, 38-45 seq., out of which only some shall be quoted here, which are these:

The angel said to Mary, Behold thou shalt conceive in thy womb and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His Name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest. But Mary said, How shall this come to be, since I know not a man? The angel answered, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the Vigour of the Most High shall overshadow thee, from which the Hot Thing that shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God. Luke 1:30-35.

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream saying, Do not fear to accept Mary thy bride, for that which is born in her is of the Holy Spirit; and Joseph knew her not until she had brought forth her first-born Son. Matthew 20:25.

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and the Word was mode flesh, and we saw His glory, as the glory of the Only-begotten from the Father. John 1:1-2, 14.

The Jews were seeking to kill Jesus, because He had declared God to be His Own Father (Patrem Proprium), making His Very Self equal to God. Jesus answered, Whatsoever things the Father does, these also the Son does likewise; just as the Father raises up the dead and makes them live, so also the Son makes whom He wills live. Truly I say unto you that the hour shall come when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear shall live. John 5:18-25. Just as the Father has Life in His Very Self, so does He give to the Son to have Life in His Very Self. John 5:26.

I am the way, the truth (veritas), and the life; no one comes to the Father except by Me: if you have known Me, you have known My Father also, and henceforth you have known Him and seen Him. Philip says to Him, Show us the Father; Jesus says to him, Am I so long a time with you, and thou hast not got to know Me, Philip? He who has seen Me has seen the Father; how dost thou then say, Show us the Father? Dost thou not believe that I am in the Father and the Father remains in Me? Believe Me, that I am in the Father and the Father in Me. John 14:6-11.

I give eternal life to My sheep; I and the Father are One. And the Jews were indignant that He should make Himself God; and He said, I do the works of the Father, Believe in the works that you may recognise and believe that the Father is in Me and I in the Father. John 10:28-38.

He who sees Me sees Him Who sent Me. John 12:45.

All things whatsoever the Father has are Mine John 16:10, 15.

That the Father had given all things into His hands. John 13:3.

Father, Thou hast given Me authority over all flesh (potestatem omnis carnis); This is life eternal, that they should recognise Thee the only God, and Jesus Christ Whom Thou hast sent. All Mine are Thine, and Thine Mine. John 17:2-3, 10.

All authority in the heavens and on earth has been given unto Me. Matthew 28:18.

Whatsoever you ask in My Name, this will I do, and I will do it. John 14:13-14.

The Spirit of the truth (veritas) shall not speak out of himself but he shall take of Mine and make it known to you. John 16:13-14.

He who abides in Me and I in him, the same brings forth much fruit, for without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5; besides elsewhere.

[3] There are still more passages in the Old Testament, of which also some shall be quoted:

Unto us a Boy is born, unto us a Son is given, the government is upon

His shoulder, and His Name shall be called, Wonderful, Counsellor, God, Hero, the Father of Eternity, the Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6; [H.B. 5].

A virgin shall conceive a Son, and His Name shall be called God with us. Isaiah 7:14.

Behold, the days are coming when I shall raise up unto David a just branch, who shall reign a king; and this is His Name which they shall call Him, Jehovah our Justice. Jeremiah 23:5-6; 33:15-16.

Then it shall be said in that day, Behold our God for Whom we have waited that He might deliver us, Jehovah for Whom we have waited; let us exult and be glad in His Salvation. Isaiah 25:9.

Only within Thee is God, and there is no God besides; assuredly Thou art a hidden God, O God of Israel the Saviour. Isaiah 45:14-15.

Is it not I Jehovah? and there is no God else beside Me, a just God and a Saviour, there is none beside Me. Isaiah 45:21-22.

I am Jehovah, and beside Me there is no Saviour. Isaiah 43:11.

I am Jehovah thy God; and thou shalt not acknowledge a God beside Me, and there is no Saviour beside Me, Hosea 13:4.

Thou, O Jehovah, art our Father, our Redeemer from an age is Thy Name. Isaiah 63:16.

Thus said the King of Israel, and His Redeemer Jehovah Zebaoth, I am the First and the Last, and beside Me there is no God. Isaiah 44:6.

Thus said Jehovah thy Redeemer, I am Jehovah doing all things, and the Only One from My Very Self. Isaiah 44:24.

Thus said Jehovah thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, I am Jehovah thy God. Isaiah 48:17.

Jehovah my Rock, and my Redeemer. Psalms 19:14; [H.B. 15].

Their Redeemer is strong, Jehovah Zebooth is His Name. Jeremiah 50:34.

Jehovah Zebaoth is His Name, and thy Redeemer the Holy One of Israel, the God of the whole land shall He be called. Isaiah 54:5.

That all flesh may know that I am Jehovah thy Saviour and thy Redeemer, the mighty One of Jacob. Isaiah 49:26; 60:16.

As for our Redeemer, Jehovah Zebaoth is His Name. Isaiah 47:4.

Thus said thy Redeemer Jehovah. Isaiah 43:14; 49:7.

Also elsewhere, as Luke 1:68; Isaiah 62:11-12; 63:1, 4, 9; Jeremiah 15:20-21; Hosea 13:4, 14; Psalms 31:5; [H.B. 6]; 44:26 [H.B. 27]; Psalms 49:15 [H.B. 16]; 55:17-18 [H.B. 18-19]; 69:18 [H.B. 19]; Psalms 71:23; 103:4; 107:2; 130:7-8. And in Zechariah:

In that day Jehovah shall be King over the whole land; in that day Jehovah shall be One, and His Name One, 14:9. But these are just a few.

Apocalypse Revealed (Whitehead translation 1928) 613

613. Having His father's name written on their foreheads, signifies their acknowledgment of the Lord's Divine and Divine Human from love and faith with them. By "the name of the Father" is meant the Lord as to the Divine from whom all things are, which is called the Father, and at the same time, as to the Divine Human, which is called the Son, because they are One and one Person, united like soul and body; for which reason, in heaven, by "God the Father" no other is meant than the Lord, and the Lord is also called Father in the New Heaven. The reason why it is here said, "the name of His Father on their foreheads," is also because by "Father" is meant the Divine good of the Lord's Divine love, which in the Word of the Evangelists is everywhere meant by "the Father," when named by the Lord, and the Divine truth of the Divine wisdom by "the Son;" which two were united as soul to body and body to soul, when the Lord glorified His Human (see 21, 170); and since they are one, it is therefore said in another place:

The name of God and of the Lamb on their forehead, (Revelation 22:4).

Concerning these, therefore, who are here treated of, it is said, that "they had the Father's name written on their foreheads," because by "the one hundred and forty-four thousand sealed out of the twelve tribes of Israel," are meant the angels of the higher heavens, who are all in the good of celestial love, and by the Father, as was said, that good is meant. That the angels here treated of are angels of the higher heavens, may be seen in the explanation of chapter 7, particularly at 362. By "written on their foreheads" is signified acknowledgment from love and faith in them; by "written" or "inscribed" is signified acknowledgment in them, and by "the forehead" is signified love and thence intelligence or faith, (347, 605).

[2] That the Divine, which is called the Father, and the Divine Human, which is called the Son, are One, like soul and body, and consequently that the Lord is to be approached as to the Divine Human, and that thus and not otherwise the Divine, which is called the Father, is approached, appears from so many passages in the Word, that they would fill many pages, if they were to be adduced; a large collection of them may be found in The Doctrine of the New Jerusalem concerning the Lord 29-36, 38-45, and following; from which a few only shall here be quoted by way of confirmation, which are these:

The angel said to Mary, Behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a Son, and shalt call His name Jesus. He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest. But Mary said, How shall this be, since I know not a man. The angel answered, The Holy Spirit shall come upon thee, and the power of the Most High shall overshadow thee, therefore also, that Holy One which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God, (Luke 1:30-35).

The angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream, saying, Fear not to take Mary thy bride, for that which is born in her is from the Holy Spirit; and Joseph knew her not, until she brought forth her firstborn Son, (Matthew 1:20, 25).

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and God was the Word, and the Word was made flesh, and we saw His glory, the glory as of the Only-begotten of the Father, (John 1:1-2, 14).

The Jews sought to kill Jesus, because He had said that God was His own Father, making Himself equal to God. Jesus answered, Whatsoever the Father doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise; as the Father raiseth up the dead and vivifieth them, even so the Son vivifieth whom He will; Verily I say unto you, that the hour shall come, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God, and they that hear shall live, (John 5:18-26).

As the Father hath life in Himself, so hath He given to the Son to have life in Himself, (John 5:26).

I am the way, the truth, and the life; no one cometh to the Father but by Me; if ye have known Me, ye have known my Father also; and from henceforth ye have known Him and have seen Him. Philip saith unto Him, Show us the Father; Jesus saith unto Him, Have I been so long time with you, and thou hast not known Me, Philip? He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father; how sayest thou then, show us the Father? Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in Me? Believe me, that I am in the Father and the Father in Me, (John 14:6-11).

I give unto my sheep eternal life; I and the Father are one. And the Jews were indignant that He made Himself God; and He said, I do the works of the Father; believe the works; that ye may know and believe that the Father is in Me and I in the Father, (John 10:28-38).

He that seeth Me, seeth Him who sent Me, (John 12:45).

All things whatsoever the Father hath are Mine, (John 16:15).

That the Father had given all things into His hands, (John 13:3).

Father, Thou hast given Me power over all flesh; this is life eternal, that they should know Thee the only God, and Jesus Christ whom Thou hast sent. All Mine are Thine, and Thine are Mine, (John 17:2-3, 10).

All power is given unto Me in heaven and on earth, (Matthew 28:18).

Whatsoever ye shall ask in My name, this I will do; and I will do it, (John 14:13-14).

The Spirit of Truth shall not speak from Himself, but He shall receive of Mine and declare it unto you, (John 16:13-14).

He that abideth in Me, and I in Him, the same bringeth forth much fruit; for without Me ye can do nothing, (John 15:5 besides other places).

[3] There are still more in the Old Testament, from which also a few shall be adduced:

Unto us a Boy is born, unto us a Son is given, and the government shall be upon His shoulder; and His name shall be called Wonderful, Counselor, God, Hero, Father of eternity, Prince of peace, (Isaiah 9:6).

A virgin shall conceive a Son, and His name shall be called God with us, (Isaiah 7:14).

Behold, the days shall come, that I will raise up unto David a just branch, who shall reign a King; and this is His name, which they shall call Him, Jehovah our justice, (Jeremiah 23:5-6; 33:15-16).

Then it shall be said in that day, Lo, this is our God whom we have waited for, that He may free us; this is Jehovah whom we have waited for; let us exult and be glad in His salvation, (Isaiah 25:9).

Only in thee is God, and there is no God beside; verily Thou art a God that hidest Thyself, O God of Israel, the Savior, (Isaiah 45:14-15).

Am not I Jehovah, and there is no God else beside Me, a just God and a Savior, there is none beside Me, (Isaiah 45:21-22).

I am Jehovah, and beside Me there is no Savior, (Isaiah 43:11).

I Jehovah am thy God, and thou shalt not acknowledge a God beside Me, and there is no Savior beside Me, (Hosea 13:4).

Thou, O Jehovah, art our Father, our Redeemer, Thy name is from everlasting, (Isaiah 63:16).

Thus said the king of Israel, and his Redeemer, Jehovah of Hosts, I am the First and the Last, and beside Me there is no God, (Isaiah 44:6).

Thus said Jehovah thy Redeemer, I am Jehovah that maketh all things, and alone by Myself, (Isaiah 44:24).

Thus said Jehovah thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, I am Jehovah thy God, (Isaiah 48:17).

Jehovah, my Rock, and my Redeemer, (Psalms 19:14).

Their Redeemer is strong; Jehovah of Hosts is His Name, (Jeremiah 50:34).

Jehovah of Hosts is His name, and thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel, the God of the whole earth shall He be called, (Isaiah 54:5).

That all flesh may know that I Jehovah am thy Savior and thy Redeemer, the Mighty one of Jacob, (Isaiah 49:26; 60:16).

As for our Redeemer, Jehovah of Hosts is His name, (Isaiah 47:4).

Thus said thy Redeemer Jehovah, (Isaiah 43:14; 49:7 And elsewhere, as Luke 1:68; Isaiah 62:11-12; 63:1, 4, 9; Jeremiah 15:20-21; Hosea 13:4, 14; Psalms 31:5; 44:26; 49:15; 55:17-18; 69:18; 71:23; 103:4; 107:2; 130:7-8).

And in Zechariah:

In that day Jehovah shall be King over all the earth; in that day Jehovah shall be one, and His name one, (Zechariah 14:9).

But these are few.

"Angelus Domini in somnio apparuit Josepho, dicens, Ne timeas accipere Mariam Sponsam tuam, nam quod in ea natum, ex Spiritu Sancto est; et Joseph non cognovit eam, usque dum peperit Filium suum primogenitum," (Matthaeus 1:20, 25);

"In principio erat Verbum, et Verbum erat apud Deum, et Deus erat Verbum, et Verbum Caro factum est, et vidimus gloriam Ipsius, sicut gloriam Unigeniti a Patre," (Johannes 1:1-2, 14);

"Quemadmodum Pater habet vitam in Se Ipso, ita dedit Filio vitam habere in Se Ipso," (Johannes 5:26);

"Ego sum via, veritas et vita; nemo venit ad Patrem nisi per Me; si Me cognovistis, etiam Patrem Meum cognovistis, et abhinc cognovistis Ipsum et vidistis Ipsum. Dicit Ipsi Philippus, Monstra nobis Patrem. Dicit illi Jesus, Tantum tempus vobiscum sum, et non nosti Me, Philippe; qui vidit Me vidit Patrem; quomodo ergo tu dicis, monstra nobis Patrem; nonne credis, quod Ego in Patre et Pater in Me sit; 4credite Mihi, quod Ego in Patre et Pater in Me," (Johannes 14:6-11);

"Ego vitam aeternam do ovibus Meis; Ego et Pater unum sumus." Et Judaei indignati, quod Se Ipsum faceret Deum; et dixit, Facio opera Patris, "operibus credite, ut cognoscatis et credatis, quod Pater in Me et Ego in Patre," (Johannes 10:28-38);

"Qui videt Me, videt Ipsum Qui misit Me," (Johannes 12:45);

"Omnia quaecunque Pater habet Mea sunt," (Johannes 16:15);

"Quod Pater dederit omnia in manus Ipsius," (Johannes 13:3);

"Pater, dedisti Mihi potestatem omnis carnis: haec est vita aeterna, ut cognoscant Te solum Deum, et Quem misisti Jesum Christum: omnia Mea Tua sunt et Tua Mea," (Johannes 17:2-3, 10);

"Data est Mihi omnis potestas in Caelis et in Terris," (Matthaeus 28:18);

"Quodcunque petieritis in Nomine Meo, hoc faciam; et Ego faciam," (Johannes 14:13-14);

Spiritus veritatis "non loquetur ex Se Ipso, sed ex Meo accipiet, et an nuntiabit vobis," (Johannes 16:13-14);

"Qui manet in Me et Ego in illo, hic fert fructum multum; quia sine Me non potestis facere quicquam," (Johannes 15:5).

(Praeter alibi)

"Puer natus est nobis, Filius datus est nobis, super Cujus humero Principatus: et vocabitur nomen Ipsius, Mirabilis, Consiliarius, Deus, Heros, Pater Aeternitatis, Princeps Pacis," (Esaias 9:5 (B.A. 6));

"Virgo concipiet Filium, et vocabitur Nomen Ipsius Deus nobiscum," (Esaias 7:14);

"Ecce dies venient, cum suscitabo Davidi Germen justum, Qui regnabit Rex; et hoc Nomen Ipsius quod vocabunt Ipsum, Jehovah Justitia nostra," (Jeremias 23:5-6; 33:15-16);

"Tunc dicetur in die illo, Ecce Deus noster Quem exspectavimus ut liberet nos; Jehovah Quem exspectavimus; exultemus et laetemur in Salute Ipsius," (Esaias 25:9);

"Tantummodo inter te Deus, et praeterea non Deus; profecto Tu Deus occultus, Deus Israelis Salvator," (Esaias 45:14-15);

"Nonne Ego Jehovah: et non amplius Deus praeter Me; Deus Justus et Salvator non praeter Me," (Esaias 45:21-22);

"Ego Jehovah, et non praeter Me Salvator," (Esaias 43:11);

"Ego Jehovah Deus tuus, et Deum praeter Me non agnosces: et Salvator non praeter Me," (Hoschea 13:4);

"Tu Jehovah Pater noster, Redemptor noster a saeculo Nomen Tuum," (Esaias 63:16);

"Sic dixit Rex Israelis, et Redemptor ejus Jehovah Zebaoth, Ego Primus et Ultimus, et praeter Me non Deus," (Esaias 44:6); 5

"Sic dixit Jehovah Redemptor tuus, Ego Jehovah faciens omnia, et Solus a Me Ipso," (Esaias 44:24);

"Sic dixit Jehovah Redemptor tuus, Sanctus Israelis, Ego Jehovah Deus tuus," (Esaias 48:17);

"Jehovah Petra mea, et Redemptor meus," (Psalm 19:15 6(B.A. 14))

"Redemptor eorum fortis, Jehovah Zebaoth Nomen Ipsius," (Jeremias 50:34);

"Jehovah Zebaoth Nomen Ipsius, et Redemptor tuus Sanctus Israelis, Deus totius Terrae vocabitur," (Esaias 54:5);

"Ut sciat omnis caro; quod Ego Jehovah Salvator tuus et Redemptor tuus fortis Jacobi," (Esaias 49:26; 60:16); 7

"Quod ad Redemptorem nostrum, Jehovah Zebaoth Nomen Ipsius," (Esaias 47:4);

"Sic dixit Redemptor vester 8Jehovah," (Esaias 43:14; 49:7).

(Et alibi, ut Luca 1:68; Esaias 62:11-12; 63:1, 4, 9; 9Jeremias 15:20-21; Hoschea 13:4, 14; Psalm 31:6 (B.A. 5); Psalm 44:27 (B.A. 26); Psalm 49:16 (B.A. 15); Psalm 55:18-19 (B.A. 17-18); Psalm 69:19 (B.A. 18); Psalm 71:23; Psalm 103:4; 10Psalm 107:2; Psalm 130:7-8).

Et apud Sachariam:

"In die illo erit Jehovah in Regem super totam Terram; in die illo erit Jehovah unus, et Nomen Ipsius unum," (14:9).

Sed haec pauca sunt.
