Potts(1905-1910) 9919

9919. Of blue, and of crimson, and of scarlet double-dyed. That this signifies from the good of charity and of faith, is evident from the signification of these things in n. 9687, 9833. The reason why fine linen was not interwoven, as in the ephod, is that the tunic, which was the inmost garment, was of fine linen; and this for the reason that "fine linen" signifies truth from a celestial origin (n. 5319, 9469), which is spiritual good itself proceeding from celestial good.

Elliott(1983-1999) 9919

9919. 'Of violet, and purple, and twice-dyed scarlet' means springing from the good of charity and faith. This is clear from the meaning of these threads, 9687, 9833. The reason why fine linen thread as well was not interwoven, as it was in the ephod, is that the tunic, the inmost garment, consisted of fine linen; and it did so because 'fine linen' means truth from a celestial origin, 5319, 9469, which is spiritual good itself emanating from the celestial.

Latin(1748-1756) 9919

@1 i fuit$
